The Embedded Systems department develops and produces the software and hardware components that are used to record food waste. In addition, we are responsible for the entire product life cycle, from commissioning to maintenance and reconditioning. Our main goal is the smooth functioning and continuous development of TAREs.

As an Embedded Systems Engineer, a very varied job awaits you in our small team. You can work independently in a wide variety of areas and take on responsibility. Your Job & Responsibilities

  • Fuse your skills from mechanical- over electrical design to embedded software development to create a high quality and reliable system
  • Bring in your knowledge in software engineering to continuously improve the reliability of the TAREs and add requested features
  • As an experienced electronic hardware developer, you are responsible for the continuous enhancement of the self developed PCBs
  • You also develop prototypes and test benches and are involved in various projects
  • You contribute in supply chain management as well as quality assurance
  • Through support activities you ensure the stable operation of the active device fleet

Skills and Requirements

  • Completed degree in electrical engineering or similar
  • Experience in PCB development (concept, schematic, layout, production preparation)
  • Experience in embedded software development combining embedded Linux, Python and Docker
  • Experience with AWS and its interaction with an IoT device is an advantage
  • The onboarding process will be easier if you already have experience with our tools (KiCAD, Jira, Git, Fusion 360)
  • You like to plan and tackle your tasks independently in order to achieve the best results. At the same time, you never forget the big picture and like to think outside the box.
  • You show a sense of responsibility and decisiveness in your work during the complete product lifecycle
  • Good German and English skills
  • A European Work Permit
