About KITRO

Our mission is to use the technological possibilities of our time to consciously experience the value of food and to support gastronomes in promoting the sustainable use of food. We call ourselves KITRONs and are an international team of hospitality experts, professional tinkerers, code wizards as well as sales talent.

In the beginning, the idea was to reduce the daily waste of food by recording waste, analyzing it and making it presentable. Today, we can proudly claim to have developed a solution that, in combination with cloud software and artificial intelligence, helps to reduce food waste in various kitchens on a national and international scale.

Your Job & Responsibilities

Your Position

We’re looking for a Finance Associate to support key financial tasks, including invoicing, payment tracking, and maintaining financial records. This role is perfect for someone detail-oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable communicating with clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Invoicing: Prepare and issue accurate and timely invoices to clients, ensuring all terms and conditions are properly reflected.
  • Payment Collection: Monitor overdue payments, follow up with clients, and work to resolve outstanding balances to maintain healthy cash flow.
  • Accounting: Maintain accurate financial records, track payments, and ensure all transactions are recorded properly in the accounting system.
  • Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts receivable and payment records to ensure accuracy.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports on the status of outstanding invoices and payments, and provide insights to senior management.
  • Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients regarding payment terms, outstanding balances, and any discrepancies.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for improving the invoicing and payment collection process to increase efficiency and reduce delays.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards in invoicing, payments, and accounting practices.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (e.g., sales, operations) to resolve payment issues and provide financial insights for decision-making.

Skills and Requirements

  • Min. 2 years of experience in finance, accounting or in a similar role with a focus on invoicing and payment collection is required.
  • Familiarity with accounting tools (e.g., Bexio, Odoo) is a bonus but not required.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial management.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Good communication skills for liaising with clients and internal teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills, especially related to payment collection
