Our vision is to create a product that helps restaurants, hotels, and canteens measure, monitor, and reduce food waste seamlessly.

With an expanding team and customer base, we are looking for an experienced, independent, and entrepreneurial individual to establish our presence in Croatia, while building and nurturing our local team and office.

Your Job & Responsibilities

As the HR Manager for our Croatian office, you’ll be tasked with establishing and leading all human resources functions in Croatia. You will play a pivotal role in infusing KITRO's values and culture into this new location while recruiting top talent and building an effective, cohesive team.
  • Establish KITRO’s Croatian Office: Oversee the setup of KITRO's physical office in Croatia, working closely with senior leadership to ensure it aligns with company values and operational goals.
  • Recruitment and Talent Acquisition: Lead end-to-end recruitment efforts in Croatia, building a dynamic and motivated team. Focus on finding talent that aligns with KITRO's mission and culture.
  • Culture Building: Act as an ambassador of KITRO’s values, embedding our company culture in all HR practices. Organize team-building activities to foster a strong, collaborative environment.
  • HR Strategy Development: Develop and implement HR policies and processes tailored to local labor laws and regulations, ensuring compliance while maintaining the startup agility.
  • Performance Management: Execute performance evaluation processes to encourage continuous development and improvement, and ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Onboarding and Training: maintain and improve employee onboarding, training, and development programs to ensure smooth integration of new hires.
  • Employee Relations: Act as the go-to person for all employee-related matters, providing guidance on HR policies, career development, and maintaining a positive workplace atmosphere.
  • Work Independently: Thrive in a remote setting, maintaining consistent communication with the leadership team in our headquarters, and ensuring alignment with global objectives.

Skills and Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in human resources, preferably in a startup or scaling environment.
  • Experience in team building and office setup in new locations is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of local labor laws and HR regulations in Croatia.
  • Proven track record of successfully hiring, onboarding, and managing teams in dynamic environments.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and influence at all levels.
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, able to work independently while building a strong local presence.
  • Passion for KITRO’s mission to reduce food waste and appreciation for the culture we strive to create.
